To allow all graduates to have family and friends attend their special day, each graduate has been asked to limit their guests to three. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

The amphitheatre (room 2226) will be available to watch the ceremony via webcast for guests.

We ask that all personal belongings remain with your family during the ceremony or that you make alternate arrangements. Please note: The Koski Conference Centre is not locked between ceremonies.

Reserved seating is available for those who require special accommodations. Limited wheelchairs are on site and available upon request. Please contact our graduation coordinator at convocation@cambrianinternational.ca or phone 705-566-8101 ext.6902 to ensure all needs are addressed. When emailing, please ensure you include the name of the person needing the accommodation, details of their requirements, ceremony date and time and the name of the graduating student.

A sign language interrupter will be present during the convocation ceremonies.

Graduates will be signalled by convocation officials to proceed to the side of the platform. As each graduate’s name is read, he or she should proceed across the stage to shake hands with the President, Board of Governors representative, Registrar, and the faculty and then return to their seat.

On stage, graduates will receive a Cambrian College folder with their diploma, certificate or degree. Graduates who have already received their diploma, certificate or degree or who owe fees will have a letter indicating this. Similarly, provisional graduates will receive a letter in their folder. Due to the fast pace of the ceremony, errors may occur, and a graduate may receive an empty folder indicating an error occurred.  Please follow up with Enrolment Centre to correct the issue after the ceremony.

Please see the Enrolment Centre with any issues or concerns pertaining to your credential.

Each convocation ceremony takes approximately two hours. We ask that guests and graduates remain in the gymnasium for the entire ceremony, out of courtesy to all graduates. Guests requiring assistance can signal one of our convocation staff for assistance. Quiet rooms are available for guests requiring assistance.

Cambrian College will have a professional photographer at each ceremony who will take each graduate’s photo as they cross the stage. These photos will be available for free download at https://www.ginodonatophotography.ca/ after each ceremony. We know this is this an exciting day for our graduates and guests, but due to safety considerations and to help ensure that the ceremony flows as smoothly as possible for all graduates, we ask that all guests and graduates stay in their seats for the duration of the ceremony. You may take photos from the seating area, but not in front of the stage.

Please note: Each Ceremony will also be streamed live on the web at: https://livestream.com/cambriancollege . Recordings of each ceremony will also be available online if you are unable to attend or view the live stream.

All graduates and their guests are invited to a reception in the Student Life Centre following the convocation ceremony. Refreshments will be provided.

For the well-being and comfort of all our students, staff, and you, our valued guests, our campus is completely smoke-free, inside our buildings and anywhere on College property.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. For more information, please visit cambrianinternational.ca/smoke-free
