Congratulations! You’re almost there! To make sure your special day is the most memorable, we have provided you with a couple things to check:
Register for Convocation/Reserve Your Gown
The myCambrian gown reservation portal is now closed. If you still wish to reserve a gown and haven’t done so already, please contact the Enrolment Centre at 705-566-8101 ext. 3003 or by email enrolmentcentre@cambrianinternational.ca
We also ask you to check your myCambrian portal to make sure you have all your required courses to graduate. Below is a how to guide:
How to Look Up Courses Required to Graduate
Please Note: Students registered in the Collaborative BScN program with Laurentian University need to satisfy Laurentian University’s requirements and complete an application to graduate form.
Please Note: Any outstanding tuition fees must be cleared in order to receive your official Certificate/Diploma.
If you’re unable to attend Convocation, your certificate or diploma will be sent to you in June. Please ensure that your mailing address and contact information is updated on your myCambrian portal.
The Day of Convocation/What to Expect
Please pick up your gown on the day of your ceremony at the Enrolment Centre – please ensure to be here with enough time to be in the Koski Centre one hour prior to your ceremony. If you need your gown prior, you may request an early pick up by contacting us at convocation@cambrianinternational.ca. Please make sure to have your student ID with you or that you know your student number. *Please Note: graduation caps are not part of the convocation regalia.
Graduates will assemble one hour prior to the beginning of the ceremony in the Koski Centre (room 4420). Follow the instructions of our staff, faculty and student volunteers. Please look for signs indicating your program area. Staff will assist in arranging graduates in alphabetical lines to form the processional.
We ask that all personal belongings remain with your family during the ceremony or that you make alternate arrangements for storage. Please note: The Koski Centre is not locked between ceremonies.
The convocation ceremony usually takes between 1.5 to 2 hours. We ask that guests and graduates remain in the gymnasium for the entire ceremony, out of courtesy to all graduates.
All graduates and their guests are invited to a reception in the Student Life Centre following the convocation ceremony. Refreshments will be provided.
Gowns should be returned to the Enrolment Centre following the ceremony and reception. Feel free to take the time with family and friends in your gown but please drop off at the Enrolment Centre before you leave for the day.
Please Note: students who do not return their gown will be charged $150.00 to their account.
