We’re excited for you to join us during your graduate’s special day. We have provided you with some information to help plan your day;

Arrival Time/Day of Convocation
Convocation ceremonies take place in the gymnasium (room 2430). The gymnasium doors will open approximately one hour prior to the start of the ceremonies. To allow all graduates to have family and friends attend their special day, each graduate has been asked to limit their guests to three. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. In the event we reach capacity, the amphitheatre (room 2226) will available to watch the ceremony via webcast for guests and our staff will assist guests getting into the gym to see their graduate cross the stage.
The convocation ceremony approximately takes two hours. We ask that guests and graduates remain in the gymnasium for the entire ceremony, out of courtesy to all graduates. Guests requiring assistance can signal one of our convocation staff for assistance.
Quiet rooms are available for guests requiring assistance.
Parking
Parking is Free. Parking staff and signage will direct you to a lot with parking availability.
Seating Accommodations
Reserved seating is available for individuals who require special accommodations. Limited wheelchairs are on site and available upon request. Please contact our graduation coordinator at convocation@cambrianinternational.ca or phone 705-566-8101 ext.6902 to ensure all needs are addressed. When emailing, please ensure you include the name of the person needing the accommodation, details of their requirements, ceremony date and time, and the name of the graduating student.
A sign language interrupter will be present during the convocation ceremonies.
Reception
All graduates and their guests are invited to a reception in the Student Life Centre following the Convocation Ceremony.
Gifts available for purchase
Flowers, frames, and gifts will be available for purchase just outside of the gym.
