The Cambrian WordPress theme implements a custom 404 page, which is displayed when a user lands on a URL that WordPress does not recognize. There are a handful of options that can be used to customize the appearance of this page.
Hero Image
The hero image (or header image) field allows content editors to select the image that is used in the large header of the 404 page.
Header Content
There are also two fields that allow the user to control the primary content that appears in the header block. These fields include
Page Title
– Use this field to set the page title for the 404 page.
Page Content
– Use this field to set the page content for the 404 page.
Buttons
Lastly, the content editor has the option of configuring two additional buttons, which will appear beneath the page content. The purpose of these buttons is to present users that land on a non-existent page with additional navigation options. The fields for configuring these buttons are as follows (they are identical for Button #1 and Button #2):
Button #1/#2 Text
– Use this field to set the text that appears in the button.
Button #1/#2 Icon
– Use this field to set the icon that appears in the button.
Button #1/#2 URL
– Use this field to set the URL that the button redirects to.
