Cambrian College hosts 46th annual convocation

SUDBURY – More than 2,500 members of Cambrian’s 2014 graduating class will be honoured during six convocation ceremonies taking place May 28-30, 2014. Graduates, their families and friends, along with distinguished guests, will converge at Cambrian’s Barrydowne campus for this annual celebration of academic achievement and excellence.

The ceremonies will also feature the presentation of awards and medals that recognize graduates and community members for outstanding academic and community contributions, including:

  • Dr. Fred Sheridan Award: Powerline Founding Partners
  • Alumni Award: Suzanne Bernier
  • President’s Gold Medal: Mallory Gunn – Business, Accounting
  • President’s Silver Medal: Jordan Crighton – Community and Justice Services
  • Governor General’s Academic Medal: Paul Ricker – Mining Engineering Technology
  • Certificates of Recognition: Christopher Richardson, President of the Cambrian Native Students’ Association (CNSA); Curtin Bell, President of the Students’ Administrative Council (SAC); and Courtney Stasiuk, President of the Cambrian Athletics Association (CAA)
  • President’s Faculty Award for Excellence: Brian P. Vendramin – Professor, School of Business and Information Technology
