SUDBURY – At their September 25 meeting, Cambrian’s Board of Governors approved the plan that will launch the new strategic planning process, which will chart the College’s direction through 2019.
“We’re pleased to be launching this new planning process,” says Bernie Freelandt, Chair, Cambrian College Board of Governors. “Since our inception as a college in 1967, we’ve been a pillar in the community and an educational leader. The strategic planning journey that we are about to embark upon will continue to chart that leadership, not only in our community, but across the province and country.”
College President Bill Best has committed to making the plan a community-driven process with a participatory approach.
“We’d like to include in our strategic plan as many contributions from as many stakeholders as possible,” he says. “Cambrian is an institution that values the diverse communities that it serves, and we want them to join us in planning the future of this College. Their feedback and ideas will help us develop a detailed plan that will encourage our students, faculty and staff to achieve tangible, effective solutions to real-world challenges.”
Cambrian College’s strategic plan is expected to be complete by September 2015.
