SUDBURY – Some of Sudbury’s leading professionals will come together with learners from Thunder Bay, Peel Region and the state of California to unlock their creative genius using play, and at the same time, learn to facilitate a powerful methodology developed by LEGO®. The STRATEGIC PLAY® Group, located in Whistler, British Columbia will be hosting one of its world-renowned LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®certification training sessions at Cambrian College this week.

North American Master Trainer Jacqueline Lloyd Smith will conduct this intense three-day training, which is focused on empowering individuals to enhance innovative thinking. The unique process keeps each participant actively engaged using hands-on activities and 3D thinking as they learn by doing.

“The underpinnings of the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology create a safe and productive environment for new ideas to be unearthed and examined,” explained Lloyd Smith. “People lose track of time as they experience the flow zone of hard fun!”

This certification training is open to the public. Three members of Cambrian’s faculty and administration will be taking part, along with researchers, counsellors, and teachers.

Leaders from Fortune 500 companies, government, international banking, health care, universities, and non-profit organizations have benefited from Strategic Play workshops utilizing the methods of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®.

The workshops will be held June 10-12 at Cambrian College’s Barrydowne campus.
