SUDBURY –The President of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) will present to Early Childhood Education (ECE) students from Cambrian and 11 other Ontario colleges via a livestream experience at Cambrian College’s eDome on Oct. 8. This event marks the first time that ECE students in approved postsecondary programs have been able to participate in this event in such large numbers from their locations across the province.
This professional development day will engage Registered Early Childhood Educators and students who are preparing to enter the profession in a learning experience about changes in the field, ethics, and standards of practice excellence. CECE President Lois Mahon, who will deliver the keynote address to participants, will also highlight the importance of the organization, as well as its scope and mandate.
Cambrian College ECE students will also have the opportunity to network with 10 administrators from local child care organizations following Mahon’s presentation. The event is open to CECE members and ECE students in approved postsecondary programs only. Members of the media are welcome to contact Lois Mahon for interviews about CECE or early childhood education in Ontario.
