SUDBURY - Cambrian College’s Ryan Benoit will be the guest speaker next week at Independent Living Sudbury Manitoulin’s 7th Annual International Day of Persons with Disabilities Breakfast.
Benoit, who recently graduated from Laurentian University’s Sports Administration Program (SPAD) and is currently enrolled in Cambrian’s graduate certificate Human Resources Management program, will be speaking about his life with cerebral palsy.
"This breakfast is important to both the Independent Living Centre and every member of the community," says Ryan Benoit. "As a student, an entrepreneur, and a person living every day with a disability, I know that remaining positive is key to starting out every day and being successful in life."
Benoit, 22, also owns his own clothing line – The Positive Inception. The company operates on the philosophy of promoting positivity and making the world a better place.
“This is our seventh year commemorating the United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities,” says Independent Living’s Executive Director, Rob DiMeglio. “We’re excited to host another breakfast and to hear from Ryan Benoit and his message about remaining positive in the face of challenges and learning about his success in the world of business and life.”
