SUDBURY – On Tuesday, Feb. 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Cambrian College is hosting the largest Career Fair in northern Ontario that also features a vibrant University Fair. The event will take place in the gymnasium at Cambrian’s Barrydowne campus.

At the Career Fair, students, alumni, and members of the public are invited to meet with more than 50 employers from a variety of sectors. “Job seekers should come prepared to network with employers who have full-time, part-time, and summer positions to fill,” said Renee Scott, Director of Student Success and Recruitment at Cambrian College. “The Career Fair also helps our students learn about career paths and to find out what employers have to offer them. Speaking with company representatives, visitors can gain valuable information about career progression and company culture that isn’t always apparent in a job posting or on a corporate website,” Scott added. At the Career Fair, Cambrian will also host a photo booth where students can pose for a professional-looking headshot to use on their LinkedIn profile.

More than 15 university representatives will also set up booths in the gymnasium to meet with students, graduates, and members of the public to discuss programs, campus life, employment prospects, and college-university partnerships. “Cambrian has hundreds of pathways that help current students and graduates combine diploma and degree programs to enhance their experience, their credentials and their career options,” said Scott. “The University Fair is open to everyone, and it offers visitors the chance to explore all of their options in postsecondary education.”
