Posted on Thursday March 24, 2016

SUDBURY – On Saturday, April 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Cambrian College will welcome more than 1,500 visitors to its Spring Open House. Prospective students, and their family members and friends, will meet with faculty, students, and staff during an annual event that showcases of all that Cambrian has to offer.

“Choosing a program, a college, and even a new place to live are major life choices, and we’re happy to invite everyone to experience every aspect of Cambrian,” said Renée Scott, Director of Student Success and Recruitment.

The day will include a bonanza of hands-on activities, guided tours, program-specific information sessions, free food, door prizes, an Aboriginal Fashion Show, International Celebration, and a Fitness Challenge, which pits teams of students from various programs against one another in an open fitness competition.

Once on campus, visitors can stop by the Cambrian Café, located in the Tim Hortons, to sit down one-on-one with campus staff to pose any questions they may have about paying for college, student loans, scholarships, financial aid, student support services, transfer credits, career options, college applications, accepting an offer to a program, and preparing for college.

“Our goal is to make sure that every visitor has a chance to meet our amazing professors, students, and staff as they visit all of the places where they may learn and live. At Spring Open House, we aim to offer an experience that’s close to what life would be like if they choose to attend Cambrian,” Scott concluded.
