Cambrian College’s Orientation Week kicks into high gear on Tuesday, Sept. 6, and the College has planned an energizing assortment of academic, social and cultural events designed with student success and student life in mind.

On Tuesday, all first-year students will participate in Orientation Day, which involves a high-energy Pep Rally at 11 a.m. The Pep Rally includes a competition to win the “Ugly Trophy” and chance to win a $5,000 scholarship. During Orientation Day, students will also meet their professors at program information sessions and find out about campus services and supports. Wednesday is the first day of classes for all students.

Cambrian’s student government leaders have also planned a full schedule of Frosh Week activities from September 6 -9, and all students are invited to join the fun. Frosh Week and Orientation Week events are intended to help students ease back into school, academically, socially, and culturally. Tailored Orientation events are also dedicated to students who are the first in their family to pursue postsecondary studies, international students, and those of Indigenous descent.

Members of the media are invited to cover Orientation activities on Sept. 6. Tuesday’s Pep Rally provides an excellent opportunity for photos and video.
