Cambrian College’s graduating Graphic Design students are hosting an exhibit that will explore the interpretations (and misinterpretations) of graphic design from the perspective of students, designers, and the general public on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Cambrian College’s downtown Open Studio.
The exhibit, called WTF is Graphic Design? allows the graduating class of 2017 to define what graphic design means to each of them, and at the same time, represent a cross-section of thought-provoking opinions about what it means to be a graphic designer and work in the field. Students requested and received insights from world-renowned design professionals including David Carson, Jessica Hische, and Ellen Lupton in creating this exhibit.
Visitors are invited to enjoy light refreshments and a cash bar on the evening of April 27 for the exhibit’s opening night. Details about the event are posted online at: www.ccgraphicdesign.ca/wtfisgd.
The event is free and everyone is welcome to attend, however RSVPs are appreciated and may be made through the Cambrian College Graphic Design Facebook page.
