SUDBURY―Three of Cambrian College’s outstanding full-time programs: Civil Engineering Technology; Magnetic Resonance Imaging; and English for Academic Purposes; have received an additional seal of quality assurance and educational excellence through national accreditation.

Addressing special guests, faculty, and staff at an event to recognize these achievements, Jean Brown, Cambrian’s Vice President Academic, thanked College faculty and staff for their commitment to program excellence and for providing the accrediting bodies’ evaluators with all of the evidence required to demonstrate that the programs meet national accreditation standards.

“For our Civil Engineering Technology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, and English for Academic Purposes programs, earning national accreditation from these external adjudicators is a major achievement. In addition to provincial and internal quality assurance processes, national accreditation confirms the strength of our programs and is a testament to Cambrian’s commitment to excellence,” Brown remarked.

Accreditation bodies, such as Technology Accreditation Canada; the Canadian Medical Association; and Languages Canada; have each developed standards and processes to ensure that programs are evaluated fairly and that institutions can demonstrate that they meet the required criteria.
