On May 9, six boxes ( 1,000 pairs) of socks were presented to the Samaritan Centre on behalf of Cambrian College’s First Generation Advising program. The Samaritan Centre is an organization dedicated to helping the homeless and the less fortunate through different agencies in downtown Sudbury. The socks were collected on March 17 during Cambrian Night at a Sudbury Wolves game, during which, the first 1,000 fans in attendance received a pair of socks for a sock toss prize draw. Cambrian College has been donating socks that have served in prize draws to charities since 2014.
