Ontario Skills Competition

Team Sudbury and Skills Ontario

Team Sudbury is made up of students from Cambrian College and Collège Boréal, and elementary and secondary school students with the four local school boards (Rainbow District School Board, Sudbury Catholic District School Board, Conseil Scolaire public du Grand Nord de l’Ontario, and Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon).

Each year, members of Team Sudbury take part in Skills Ontario, a province-wide contest featuring elementary, high school, and college students competing in more than 60 different skills: everything from Animation to Welding, in both individual and team categories.

Category winners have the opportunity to advance to the Skills Canada and World Skills competitions.

This is the third year Cambrian College has combined with the local school boards to present Team Sudbury at Skills Ontario.

In that time, members of Team Sudbury have won 19 medals at Skills Ontario (6 gold, 5 silver, 8 bronze)

The 2020 Ontario Skills Competition is being held May 4-6 at the Toronto Congress Centre.
